Even though this book is about Allie the Alligator and her apples, the main focus is on the letter "a". I wanted to put in as many words starting with "a" (that are fit for children of the preschool age range) into this book as I could. So that it can help children be able to recognize the appearance and sound of the letter "a" in words and sentences as well as help develop their independent reading skills. My goal as an author is to help children in their areas of development as much as I can. This book in particular is the first of 26 and each one following will be like this one except it will focus on a different letter of the alphabet.
