The third International Symposium on Materials and Sustainable Development ISMSD2017 (CIMDD2017) will include a 2-day Conferences (07 & 08 November). Organized by the Research Unit: Materials, Processes and Environment and University M'hamed Bougara of Boumerdes, this symposium follows the success of CIMDD 2013-2015 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of International Conferences on the materials, processes and Environment. The Symposium will provide a unique topical forum to share the latest results of the materials and sustainable development research in Algeria and worldwide.

This book presents selected, peer-reviewed proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Material, Machines and Methods for Sustainable Development (MMMS2022), held in the city of Can Tho, Vietnam, from 10 to 13 November 2022. The purpose of the conference is to explore and ensure an understanding of the critical aspects contributing to sustainable development with a focus on advanced mechanical engineering, automation, materials, machines and methods. The contributions published in this book come from authors representing universities, research institutes and industrial companies and reflect the results of a very broad spectrum of research, from micro- and nanoscale materials design and processing, to mechanical engineering technology in industry. Many of the contributions selected for these proceedings focus on materials modeling, eco-material processes and mechanical manufacturing. Volume 1 of this book focuses on topics dedicated to advanced materials and manufacturing technologies, ranging from synthesis of new materials to sustainable development manufacturing technology.

With the general acknowledgement that climate change constitutes an existential threat to both mankind and to the planet, the quest for more sustainable and environmentally-friendly ways of developing and maintaining human civilizations has become ever more important in recent years. This book presents the proceedings of GEESD2022, the 3rd International Conference on Green Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development. Due to continuing travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held as a hybrid event, part face-to-face in Beijing, China, and partly online via Zoom, on 29 June 2022. The 141 papers included here were selected after a rigorous 6-month process of evaluation and peer-review from the more than 300 submissions received, and are grouped into 7 sections: energy system and smart control; sustainable and green energy; environmental modeling and simulation; environmental science and pollution research; ecology and rural environment; building and environment; and water and mineral resources. The book provides an overview of the most up-to-date findings and technologies current in green energy, environment and sustainable development today, and will be of interest to all those working in the field.

The conference on 'Substantial Materials Processing and Manufacturing (SMPM)' aims to bring together scientists, researchers, and companies to attend and share their vision, ideas, recent developments as well as advanced scientific and technical knowledge in the field of materials processing and manufacturing. The conference is concerned with sustainable engineering, life cycle engineering, sustainable manufacturing systems and technologies, sustainable materials and processing, sustainable product design and development, sustainable supply chain and business models, renewable energy and sustainable development, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things, modelling and simulation of sustainable manufacturing, intelligent agricultural equipment, etc. The conference has invited some academicians and research leaders in related fields to give the keynote report.
