It is the understanding alone that conceives ideas, aggregates them, evolves inductions and resolutions, and dictates actions there from. On the contrary, the moral and instinctive forces are but promoters and auxiliaries to the intel lectual; they furnish the elements of action and the opportunities of exhibiting them.
