When his younger sister Komachi comes to the Service Club with a problem involving Hachiman's stoic, intimidating classmate Saki, he's faced with a challenge. How's he supposed to break through Saki's unflappable and frankly frightening demeanor? Is it possible that Hachiman's notorious cynicism is actually going to be good for something, for once?

Hachiman Hikigaya's life has changed little since being forced to join the Service Club. Sure, he now spends his time after school in the company of the icy Yukino Yukinoshita and bubbly airhead Yui Yuigahama, but his warped personality still ensures that he won't wring a moment's enjoyment from his insufferable school life. When someone starts trolling his class with hateful e-mails, though, and the Service Club is enlisted to help solve the case, Hachiman's "unique" perspective as an outsider might finally come in handy...or he could still just be a loser.

SUMMER CAMP IS A MINEFIELD FOR A LONER... Ahh, summer break. No school, no responsibilities, and no friends to pass the time with--until Miss Hiratsuka drafts the Service Club (plus a few normies) into volunteering to supervise an elementary school camping trip. A not so merry Christmas Christmas is almost here, but everything Hachiman has wanted, everything he might have wished for, is gone. Ever since the student council elections, the Service Club members have been at an awkward standstill. Something is broken between them, but they gather in the clubroom with the hope that things will just go back to normal. That’s when Iroha Isshiki, the new student council president, brings in a request to help her with a joint Christmas event with another school. Hachiman decides to lend a hand, but not on behalf of the Service Club—he’ll do this one on his own.

AT LONG LAST, SPRING IS HERE AGAIN After all the hardships, struggles, and mistakes, the only thing Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui can do is ask the same questions in search of new answers. Yes, it’s the same routine, but each day is always new. Hachiman has struggled to answer truthfully, and his relationships have suffered for it—but it’s time for that to change. This romantic comedy has gone wrong enough times. The story may be coming to an end, but youth lives on.
