What kind of mother doesn’t say no to her kids? One who is clearly angling for the Mother of the Year trophy – or an extended stay in a mental institution. After deciding to eliminate the words no, don’t and stop from her parenting vocabulary for one month, Amy Sprenger documents what life is like with her three young children. Spoiler alert: she’s still alive, so it didn’t actually kill her.

"Rarely do I ever find myself agreeing with everything I read in a book. But Parenting the Wholehearted Child is the book I wish I'd written. Jeannie has given parents a profound gift within its pages." -- Kathie Lee Gifford, actress, singer, playwright, songwriter, and cohost of the Today Show's Fourth Hour Your kids aren't perfect. And you don't have to be either. Are you exhausted from the pressure to be a perfect parent raising perfect children in this imperfect world? Do you ever wonder, "How did these precious children get stuck with a parent like me?" If so, let these grace-drenched pages saturate your heart with God's unfailing love while also equipping you to be a vessel of God's unconditional love to your children. With authenticity, conviction, and a lively sense of humor, Jeannie guides you on a transformative journey into raising wholehearted--not perfect--children, who live from the freedom found in being wholeheartedly loved (and liked!) by God. Parenting the Wholehearted Child equips you with biblical wisdom and practical ideas to teach your children that they are fully accepted by God, not because of anything they do or don’t do but because of everything Jesus has already done for them. Woven throughout the book is the good news that it is God's extravagant grace--not your perfect performance--that transforms the hearts of children.

An essential volume for theater artists and students alike, this anthology includes the full texts of sixteen important examples of avant-garde drama from the most daring and influential artistic movements of the first half of the twentieth century, including Symbolism, Futurism, Expressionism, Dada, and Surrealism. Each play is accompanied by a bio-critical introduction by the editor, and a critical essay, frequently written by the playwright, which elaborates on the play’s dramatic and aesthetic concerns. A new introduction by Robert Knopf and Julia Listengarten contextualizes the plays in light of recent critical developments in avant-garde studies. By examining the groundbreaking theatrical experiments of Jarry, Maeterlinck, Strindberg, Artaud, and others, the book foregrounds the avant-garde’s enduring influence on the development of modern theater.

This is a story about five biracial sisters who ran away from one white house that their relatives slaved in and other relatives lived in. Cathryn is the oldest. She spent her life preparing to live in the other White House. There are four other sisters: Gwendolyn, Claudia, Mayvelyn and Evelyn. Claudia and Evelyn are black. They have grown up around people that name-called them. From niggers to white trash. They became a commissioner, senator, mayor, doctor, and district attorney. Raised their children as princes and princesses. It was a grandchild that got the keys to the White House. Now they're in the White House, where their blood relatives built it for the other blood relatives to work in. Oh yeah, did I mention that the sisters are Republican? The people of United Stated of America voted Cathryn's grandson for president twice, and after his eight years, the people voted Gwendolyn's son in for president twice. And then Cathryn's grandson was voted back in for eight more years. They became royalty.
