This book about the science of Vastu was written as a simple and clear, yet detailed exposition on the knowledge and basic technical applications for the design of secular Vastu buildings - such as homes and offices. 'Vastu Architecture' provides the reader with a nuts and bolts explanation of how to create a solid structure that is in resonance with Earth, Cosmic and Divine energies. Being a fully illustrated book, with around 100 simple, clear and easy to interpret drawings; the book is very accessible to a general audience and does not require any background knowledge in architectural design. Also included are two complete floor plans that can be tailored for specific individuals in accordance with their birth stars. Many other books about Vastu do not include an explanation of the technical knowledge of Vastu science, and if they do, they often present only a partial, or an altogether incorrect account thereof. This is not the case with 'Vastu Architecture', as its technically rich, yet layman-accessible knowledge base provides the reader with all of the basic requirements to create a Vastu structure, including a very clear chapter on how to use the Ayadi Calculations to get the Sacred Dimensions of a building. This is not, however, a coffee table book, it is rather a manual for the construction of special havens for the soul. A comprehensive guide to the techniques of astrological interpretation The Art of Interpreting Horoscopes gives, for the first time ever, the definition of a Graha in astrology. Shows how ancient classical dicta can be adapted and applied to contemporary charts to analyse: * Prim-Ministerial Yogas * Neechabhanga Raja Yoga * Adhi Yoga and Celebrity Status * Cases of Crime and Criminals * Crime Investigation * Possibility of Children and IVF * Loss of Children * Marriage from Navamsa Clues * Factors for Love Marriage * Swearing-in charts * Loss of Children India has always been an astrological society but at some point of time in the early part of the 20th century, the educated began to develop a certain distaste for this ancient science, largely because of the educational system in the country which distanced itself from the traditional branches of learning under a mistaken notion that by doing so, it was proving its rational credentials. However astrology being as good a science as any other of the modern ones, has stood the test of time and in recent years has made a resurgent reappearance as a result of my revered father, Father of Modern Astrology, the Late Dr. B. V. Raman's relentless efforts to propagate it as an academic subject. Astrology has now captured the interest of large segments of the educated public. The wave of resurgence has swept away this pseudo-rationalist resistance bringing with it the realization of the invaluable role astrology can play in helping cope with the ills of modern society. There has been some kind of snowballing effect in educated circles, both in our own country as well as in the west, primarily the United States of America, in their eagerness to retrieve, revive and restore Jyotish to its pristine glory. The ancient classical works on the subject are now being eagerly lapped up but the problem begins because of the times when the astrological rules were first formulated being so different from our own. The author has made effort to adapt and apply these rules in the form of dicta, Yogas and combinations to contemporary life in the process seeking to bridge the gap between the ancient rules and their application value to the present.

Vastu Shastra is not merely an art but a definite science in itself. This book has made an excellent effort to establish this fact. The book attempts to highlight the principles of Vastu science and its application in designing of the built environment to enhance the quality of life. This science is still relevant and effective in the modern life-changing styles of Architecture with the universal application of its principles. The author has tried to justify that Vastu principles are much in need in the 21st century in view of rapid advancements man is making in other fields without compensating on ecology front, which forms the basis of Vastu. In the end, an attempt has been made to give a compound solution to the problem of Vastu-based planning.
