A few weeks earlier, on March 9, a Church member and close friend of Joseph named King Follett was killed in an accident. While no one thing can entirely explain the rise of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the historical influence of Freemasonry on this religious tradition cannot be refuted.
