I had the happy privilege of partly introducing Loris to the Hebrew language. It soon became apparent that she had a rare gift. In short order, she became the "teacher" and added greatly to the entire class. On her own she started tutoring friends, including neighborhood children. She has a beautiful heart full of love for the Bible and others. It does not surprise me to see the creative work she has done. Both she and her book are bound to be a blessing. Professor Don Pickerill Sweeter Than Honey is an amazing series of insights put together by Loris DeMarco. It is more than just some thoughts for devotion. It is a gift with the intention to inspire the body of Christ. The Hebrew application to the Word is as the title "Sweeter Than Honey" ...oh how sweet! The richness presented in her commentary is something to be thankful for; that which can only come from a heart, which is sincerely in love with the Lord and His Word. Loris has given us so much colour in her writings which I believe will help us the reader understand and enjoy God's Word more as He intends for us to understand and love it. This journey began as daily inspirations that we wrote to encourage each other as we went through our individual trials. It is our hope that you will also be encouraged; that you will find peace and strength in God's love, knowing with absolute certainty that no matter what difficulty you are experiencing, God is with you. He is in control and you can place your absolute trust in Him. God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Nothing and no one can separate us from His love. He is the One and only true God, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. Without Him we can do nothing but with Him all things are possible because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. God's grace and mercy towards us is infinite, sufficient and totally undeserved. We will never be perfect and there will be times when we fall but we will also get up. We are accountable for our actions. We can talk with God at any time, day or night. He is never too busy and even though He carries the weight of the world on His shoulders, He is still willing to add our burdens to that weight. No matter how the rest of the world chooses to view our Heavenly Father, we will worship the Lord.

This collection is in no particular order, just poems about life as I have known it, since I started writing when I was 11. They are about life's beginnings - not just new life, but all new beginnings, new starts. They are about the end of situations and, as the title states, everything in between. It's about connections I have made and my interpretations of those connections. In short, this is the world through my eyes. After 22 years of prayer, study, ministry observation, and seeking God's will through it all, the burden in my heart to teach disciples and raise-up Church leaders who are grounded in solid foundational principles has escalated into a powerful fervor. Therefore, my spirit has been compelled to put these principles into writing for the edification of the glory of the Lord for His kingdom. Many of these things have been taught in various forms and/or pieces. It has been my longing to put this to an organized, instructional tool that will firm up the believer's heart and mind and establish a solid foundation for disciples to build their calling upon, thereby launching the disciple's ministry for the purpose of accomplishing God's will for their lives. Like a drop of water spilled into a pool and rippling outward, it is my expectation that these teachings will ripple out into the world and change many lives. Dr. Robert "Doc" Straube was born in 1950 in Bethesda, Maryland. Growing up as a US Navy dependant he lived all around North America, Hawaii and the Caribbean, finally settling in the Seattle, Washington area. During his early college life, he earned Ph.Ds in Psychology and Business Economics. While teaching and studying at different institutions, Doc continually sought for spiritual truth studying various religions and philosophies. Finally, through God's grace, he received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a born-again Christian in 1981. The Bible became his one and only source of truth. Desiring to have a complete and full relationship with Jesus Christ, he earned his third doctorate in Divinity/CHURCH LEADERSHIP. Through the love of Jesus Christ, Doc and his wife Jackie fulfill their call and commitment by helping the Church raise up disciples and training them to fulfill their ministry callings in Jesus Christ.
