But little discussion is presented as to why this bill should have or should not have the support of mining engineers. 0 Nevertheless they are included in its terms and should be vitally interested in seeing such a bill fail or become a law. If the support of mining engineers is desired it is rather unfortunate that the arguments in favor of the bill were not fully given, particularly those as to the advan tages accruing to the profession of mining engineering and to the public. If mining engineers are to be registered if they would practice, whether they desire registration or not, it is a proper time for them to express themselves on the subject. It may be said in this connection that many mining engi meers of Colorado, where such a law now exists, do not look upon it with favor. Copies of the committee's report may be secured from Alfred D.
