Intended for use in training California law enforcement personnel, this document presents an outline for California law enforcement trainers and criminal justice educators who are delivering performance-based law-enforcement training on concepts related to community service, crime prevention, law enforcement job related stress and career influences, victimology, and handling news media relations. The curriculum covers victims, witnesses, public satisfaction with police services, police-community partnerships, and the importance of public education. One of the purposes of the classes is to provide the student with a better understanding of the victimization issues and police techniques for better interacting with crime victims.
