About the author: Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was born in Kelvedon, Essex, England. During his ministry, he preached to more than 10 million people, wrote tens of books, and published his sermons in over 25,000 copies on a weekly basis. Charles Spurgeon suffered from poor health and he died on January 31, 1892, and was buried in London.
