On a cold, snowy November day in Big Oak, Wisconsin, Ann Ranson's dogs drag home something bloody. In the height of hunting season, Ann assumes it's a deer part and goes out to get rid of it. Instead, she is shocked to discover it's the remains of a human foot! Sheriff Lark Swenson, a former homicide detective from Chicago who recently moved to the country after his wife's death, begins to investigate. When a second body is found, the state police join in the case. State Detective Lacey Smith works very closely with Sheriff Swenson, and the two of them find themselves battling their mutual attraction, as well as hunting down a cold-blooded killer. While the police try to find out who's been killing young female students from the university, someone starts shooting at Ann Ranson and the sheriff. Lark and Lacey need to find the killer before someone else winds up dead!

The Edgar Award-winning, New York Times-bestselling series by Dana Stabenow set in Alaska. Kate Shugak takes on a murderous hunting party in Hunter's Moon. For one group of hunters, it's open season on murder... It's autumn in Alaska: hunting season. Kate Shugak is acting guide to ten big game hunters carrying an arsenal of expensive weaponry. Unfortunately, not one of them seems to know one end of a shotgun from the other, and all are a danger to themselves and anyone else in range. So when one of the men is killed, his death is dismissed as a tragic accidental shooting. But when the weather worsens and Kate finds herself stranded in the wilderness with the hunting party, she begins to have her doubts about the group. And when she discovers another body in gruesome circumstances, Kate realizes that someone is after more than just four-legged trophies... Go hunting and fishing with Mike Yurk in Hunters Moon, Fishermans Sun. It is a collection of twenty two stories that will take you from Alaska to Key West with a lot of time in the upper Mid West where Mike grew up and still lives. It begins with memories of opening day of the fishing season and ends with a long winter followed by two more opening days. In between we fish for halibut in Alaska, hunt pheasants in South Dakota and get a fish fry in Key West. We go back with Mike to when he was a boy and young man learning to hunt. He takes us with him hunting for big ducks on a big lake, a pond where he hunted for geese, the joys of hunting on Saturdays, and shooting rabbits in the snow. We go ice fishing when the walleyes went nuts on his favorite home lake and again on a northern Minnesota lake where friends gather in the winter for a special ice fishing event. The stories move from the past to the present. There are memories of Lake Michigan as a boy to many years later catching salmon there. There are recollections of fishing with his grandfather and father on a beloved river to now teaching his grandson to fish for bass. There are the days of unlimited joy of summer vacation as a boy to a perfect summer day catching smallmouth bass as a much older fisherman. The stories are more then just catching fish or shooting game. They are about people, both in the past and present, and the impact they have on the days of a hunters moon or a fishermans sun.

2nd Edition Insolita Luna: Book Three Sequel to Hunter's Moon Charlie Fitzgerald is sick of being the kid nobody takes seriously. His older brother Colin is fighting vampires and other troublemakers in New York City, and Charlie wants in on the action-but no one will listen. Then he overhears the lycan council is looking for a human emissary to take a message of peace to a werewolf in the forests of Romania, and Charlie decides he's the man for the job. Xan is furious: his best friend, Charlie, one of the Fitzgeralds he's vowed to protect, is walking into danger, and Xan chases him all the way to the freezing Romanian forest to save his stubborn butt. When Charlie is almost killed, Xan realizes he feels much more than friendship for his charge, and emotions that have been bubbling under the surface of his calm facade threaten to boil over and flood them both. They end up in the middle of a political mess involving lycans, werewolves, and nosy vampires, and if they make it out alive, the friendship between the headstrong hunter and his bullheaded protector might turn into a love neither can live without. 1st edition published by M.J. O'Shea, April 2012
