Newbery Honor author Cynthia Lord likes fostering rabbits—or, as she fondly calls it, “borrowing bunnies.” This is the heartwarming true story of the author’s own journey with two very special rabbits. In the spring of 2016, Peggotty and Benjamin were saved by Maine’s Cottontail Cottage Rabbit Rescue after their previous owners had neglected them. But before the two Netherland Dwarf rabbits could be adopted, Cynthia had to help them learn to trust people and feel safe inside a home. The bunnies slowly settled in, enjoying their clean pens, nibbling new foods, and playing with fun toys, while Cindy’s husband, John Bald, photographed Benjamin and Peggotty’s every step toward adoption. At that time, hundreds of viewers were drawn to Cindy’s Facebook page to watch their progress. Now, she has adapted the rabbits’ true story into a picture book that explores love, responsibility, empathy, and letting go—along with fostering’s many surprises, both big and small. Young readers will delight in watching these bunnies thrive while also learning a few fun animal facts. With Cindy’s pitch-perfect blend of warmth and real-life experience, Borrowing Bunnies is a new classic in narrative nonfiction.

BEATRIX POTTER, move over. Here is a children's book to delight everyone-the continuing saga of The Bunnies, told by someone young enough to know it, old enough to spoof it. Only instead of Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail, you've got Knuzzle, Krouch, and Relacks, members of the infamous Nickname Club, and the wonderful Bunny family-Papa, Mama, the sons Cool and Baby, and the daughters Twinkle and Sparkle. It's the story of everyday life in Furrific Town, with voice-over by the author. It's an imaginative story-book filled with wit and humor that will delight the parents as well as the children. So, as Baby Bunny would say, "Yo! Yo! Yohoho!" And so we begin: "There are many towns inhabited by only bunnies. And bunnies only. But we're not talking about all the towns. We're just zooming in on one little house in one little town called Furrific Town. And the family of bunnies in the little house that we're talking about is no ordinary family."

This unique collection of Beatrix Potter's most beloved children's books has been designed and formatted to the highest digital standards. "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" is a British children's book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter that follows mischievous and disobedient young Peter Rabbit as he is chased about the garden of Mr. McGregor. He escapes and returns home to his mother who puts him to bed after dosing him with camomile tea. "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny" is a sequel, and tells of Peter's return to Mr. McGregor's garden with his cousin Benjamin to retrieve the clothes he lost there during his previous adventure. "The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies": Benjamin Bunny and his cousin Flopsy are the parents of six young rabbits called simply The Flopsy Bunnies. The story concerns how the Flopsy Bunnies, while raiding a rubbish heap of rotting vegetables, fall asleep and are captured by Mr. McGregor who places them in a sack. "The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit" - A bad rabbit finds a good rabbit sitting on a bench eating a carrot his mother gave him. Wanting the carrot, he takes it from the good rabbit and scratches him. The good rabbit escapes and hides in a nearby hole. Meanwhile, a hunter notices the bad rabbit sitting on the bench and mistakes him for a bird. Bad rabbit loses his tail and whiskers.
