The second volume is taken from a collection of mimeographed booklets given to the publisher in 1966 and 1971, and includes records of real estate sales, citizenship papers, "Historical Records" of Old Pickens District, and Old Pendleton District courthouse records.

A listing from the 1850 census of approximately 8,160 free blacks and mulattos between the ages of 1 month and 112 years, providing name, age, sex, occupation, color, place of birth, household and dwelling number, and county.
