Zimbabwe: The Urgency of Now, is a follow-up creative non-fiction book to Zimbabwe: The Blame Game. It goes further than The Blame Game and focuses on Zimbabwe in the GNU entity, the 2013 elections, post elections and post GNU Zimbabwe, and Now. They are a myriad number of problems, issues, limitations that still unbundles Zimbabwes push towards multiparty democracy, social justice, economic sanity and growth, and The Urgency of Now focuses on the solutions to these. It also tackles the land reform in South Africa, how this could be its biggest problem going forward. It goes further and tackles the larger Africa problem toward democracy, growth, stability and unity, and why the progress towards the United States of Africa has been moribund.

Zimbabwe: The Urgency of Now is a collection of creative nonfiction pieces. It is a follow-up to Zimbabwe: The Blame Game. With Zimbabwe: The Urgency of Now, I focused on the Zimbabwe political, economic and social landscape post the negotiations of the government of national unity (6th Year of Zim Talks), the GNU years (GNU Entity and Power-sharing Deal Limitations), the 2013 July elections (2013 Elections Preparedness), and post-2013 elections (Post-election Zimbabwe's Political, Economic and Social Landscape). I have tried to free myself from the fetters of academic or journalistic type of nonfiction writing and have experimented with the creative nonfiction type of writing, where I look at the issues in a creatively focused, laidback, imaginative, simple language, with the story-telling genre, diary, memoirs, playwriting and poetic genre being mixed with nonfiction. Tendai Rinos Mwanaka is a Zimbabwean publisher, editor, mentor, thinker, literary artist, visual artist and musical artist with 23 individual books and 25 edited books, one music album and several songs, and tens of paintings and artworks curated, published, produced, exhibited and published in at least 35 countries worldwide.

Tendai Rinos Mwanaka wrote letters to Robert Mugabe, Constantine Chiwenga, Morgan Tsvangirai, The Zimbabweans, Emerson Mnangagwa, Nelson Chamisa, The Police, and in between infused the letters with deeply literary and psychoanalytic essays on the motivations of political players in Zimbabwe. Using this nonfiction literary form, the letter writing form, to protest against Robert Mugabe and the Mugabeism the letters were initially written to protest against Mugabe's continuing clinging to power, the collection has been expanded to include other issues related to Zimbabwe society. As the country moves towards a better multiparty democracy if there is change in thinking in these very important facets shaping Zimbabwe such as constitutionalism and rule of law, change and devolution of government, developmental agenda, and freedom of expression and association.

This book investigates how culture reflects change in Zimbabwe, focusing predominantly on Mnangagwa’s 2017 coup, but also uncovering deeper roots for how renewal and transition are conceived in the country. Since Emmerson Mnangagwa ousted Robert Mugabe in 2017, he has been keen to defi ne his "Second Republic" or "New Dispensation" with a rhetoric of change and a rejection of past political and economic cultures. This multi and inter- disciplinary volume looks to the (social) media, language/ discourse, theatre, images, political speeches and literary fiction and non- fiction to see how they have reflected on this time of unprecedented upheaval. The book argues that themes of self- renewal stretch right back to the formative years of the ZANU PF, and that despite the longevity of Mugabe’s tenure, the latest transition can be seen as part of a complex and protracted layering of postcolonial social, economic and political changes. Providing an innovative investigation of how political change in Zimbabwe is reflected on in cultural texts and products, this book will be of interest to researchers across African history, literature, politics, culture and post- colonial studies.

This book comprises 19 creative non-fiction pieces and essays centred around the topics of language, thought, art and existence seen through the prism of practising artist in contemporary Africa. The collection continues with Zimbabwe’s Tendai Mwanaka’s creative non-fiction ideology of presenting non-fiction in a creative, fresh, easy reading, simple language. With most of the essays driven by personal stories, the author ably renders them accessible to a wide spectrum of readers from the scholarly to the journalistic and the general. The pieces are grouped according to the topics, with the language essays starting the book, followed by thought, existential, and art essays. In tune with the adage the personal is political, Mwanaka lets the personal drive these essays as he tries to investigate and conversationally navigate his thoughts, beliefs, feelings and experience on language, existence and art. Zimbolicious Anthology: An Anthology of Zimbabwean Literature and Arts is the 6th yearly volume of Zimbabwean Literature and the arts. This year's anthology is extra-special in that we feature Zimbabwe's upcoming young visual artists who recently won or got highly recommended and exhibited their artworks through the National Art Gallery, in a competition sponsored by Morgan & Co and in association of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. These artworks varies from installation, mixed media, drawings, paintings and tackled the issue of being "Masked", resultant of Covid 19 pandemic. These artworks are accompanied by Tinashe Muchuri's illuminating critical reception essay. Chrispah Munyoro's artworks are personal and are of struggle, and Tendai Rinos Mwanaka's artworks deal with a number of issues such as US racism, the issue of Jihad terrorism, climate change and global warming. The poetry section tackles a gamut of issues from governance, spirituality, environmentalism, love, relationships, etc... and the fiction section has 4 bittersweet short stories dealing with illegal mining mob deaths (Mathew T Chikono), coming of age love story (Christopher Kudyahakudadirwe), a slice of bus travelogue (Nicole Kazembe), writing mother's body (Oscar Gwiriri). The nonfiction has two essays; Chipo Martha Bute deals with a personal journey to discovery and worthiness and Tendai Rinos Mwanaka deals with Zimbabwe's politics.
