This book sheds light on the mega-city region development in China as a new form of urbanization which plays a crucial role in the economic development of the country. This book examines the formation of urban neighbourhoods in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. It departs from ‘neighbourhoods’ to consider identity, coexistence, solidarity, and violence in relations to a place.
