I have experienced sexual assault in my industry at a young age multiple times. Unfortunately till this day, it’s unclear to people what consent means. I was raped 2 times before my twenties and it made me stronger than my younger me could ever believe. I was young, I was broke. It took me years to even find it within me to speak. I was too ashamed. So I started to write my deepest, scariest thoughts down. I lost my voice for years. I lost myself. So here I am,thanks to my poems. Vulnerable, stripped to my soul, giving you a piece of me, my voice to find yours. To start your healing too. I wanna thank everyone who supported me in my process of healing. Who gave me love support. And mostly didn’t judge me when I opened up. I hope this book gives you strength to find your voice, knowing that with speaking up we can help each other.

From The Depths of My Soul: Collection of Poetry and Songs, Gospel/Religious Version is a poetry book that a lot of people have been waiting to read. Adrienna ‘Deo’ Turner was touched by the Holy Spirit to write this poetry and songs book to reach souls longing for salvation in another form and to touch your spirit to the utmost. In addition, these were songs for songwriting purposes, but music project is on hold. However, Adrienna will send a few of these songs to Hilltop Records to see if they can be used according to God’s will. God has a plan for our lives and pray that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit or at least recognize that Jesus Christ loves you!

This cover is filled with words from my heart. Whether sad and lonely, or a dedication to family, love and being just me, these words are personal. Many focus on love during my “coming of age” and navigating dating and relationships. If these words speak to you, all the better. Most of the poems are short but all of them convey my deep emotion. Family is the theme of one specific poem. My family means the world to me, so I have to dedicate this book to them and their support in getting the book published.
