It is a well-established fact nowadays that modernity impacts Islam, but there has not been much focus on how modernity impacts the Qur’ān, the foundational text of Islam and the verbatim word of God. This book argues that the early Muslim Qur’ān translations into English are attempts to reconcile the Qur’ān with modernity by producing translations that encompass modern concepts and interpretations of the Qur’ān. Are these modern concepts and interpretations valid or they alter the word of God? This is the main question that the book attempts to answer, particularly that these early translations have affected and still affect Qur’ān translation.

All Quran translations are interpreted to some extent by the translator. This phenomenon sometimes confuses the reader to know which, is the best translation to follow. This doubt has been removed by this translation, because this translation has been done by God's messenger. This translation is divine inspiration and revealed with God's approval. The believers are advised to follow this translation. This translation distinguishes between "practicing" and "non-practicing" Muslims. Both will make it to heaven with their appropriate proportions of rewards. One does not have to follow all religious rites of Islam to make it to heaven. With minimum prohibitions and believing in one God is enough for non-practicing Muslim to make it heaven. Quran is not fossilised in 7th Century. Quran relates fully to this modern world and Quran confirms the latest scientific facts of this world. This confirms the fact that Quran is indeed revelations from the Omniscient God.

Bennabi's reformulation of the Qur'an's miracle within the wider philosophical and historical context of the religious phenomenon and prophetic movement is quite unique. It invites the mind to a different reading of human religious history and a different understanding of the human condition that goes far beyond the mere concerns of Muslims.
