It was written by his friends and contains information which would be difficult if not impossible for the student of the present day to find elsewhere. But, written by his friends at a time when the stirring events with which Mr. Chandler was connected were still fresh in their minds, the Post and Tribune Life is necessarily not wholly impartial.
