Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That Aaron N; Hart, James H. Biggs and Ebenezer Higgins, their asso ciates, successors and assigns, be and they are hereby con stituted a body politic and corporate, by the name and style of The Chicago Beater, Cotton and Hay Press Company and by that name shall have perpetual succession, with pow er to contract and be contracted with, sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded in all courts and places; to adopt a com mon seal, and alter the same at pleasure; to adopt such by-laws, rules and regulations as they may deem expedient, and to have and exercise all other rights and powers neces sary to carry out the provisions and intentions of this act.
