Ravel composed the original piano version of this piece in 1899 after resuming his studies at the Paris Conservatory. It was published the next year and became an overnight success. Despite some self-criticism of his youthful work for being "poor in form", Ravel thought well enough of it to prepare an orchestral version in late 1910, which was given its premiere under the baton of Henry Wood at the Manchester Gentlemen's Concerts on 27 February 1911. This newly-engraved critical edition will be appreciated by Ravel fans, students, and conductors everywhere. With the demise of the publisher E. F. Kalmus, the only authorized source for this edition is Serenissima Music, where the large score and orchestra parts are now available.

One of the world's most lovely melodies now available as a piano duo. This lush arrangement was made from the original orchestral score and lays easily under the hands. The flow of the melody from piano to piano is nice. This arrangement is perfect for advancing pianists, and will be a welcome addition to any recital.

Much of the music of Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) is among the most accessible of any written in the last hundred years; the man, however, was notoriously difficult to get to know. In Maurice Ravel, Gerald Larner aims to trace the development of the composer's personality not only through events in his life and in the society around him but also through his music, which is more revealing in this respect than is generally believed. This beautifully crafted book offers many fresh insights into the life and work of this enigmatic composer.

Two friends, one a budding writer home from Europe, the other an ambitious racketeer, meet in the only nightclub, the Tram 83, in a war-torn city-state in secession, surrounded by profit-seekers of all languages and nationalities. Tram 83 plunges the reader into the modern African gold rush as cynical as it is comic and colorfully exotic, using jazz rhythms to weave a tale of human relationships in a world that has become a global village. Fiston Mwanza Mujila (b. 1981, Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo) is a poet, dramatist, and scholar. Tram 83 is his award-winning and raved-about debut novel that caused a literary sensation when published in France in August 2014.

Park Min-gyu has been celebrated and condemned for his attacks upon what he perceives as the humorlessness of contemporary Korean literature. Pavane for a Dead Princess is his attack upon the beauty-fetish that reigns over popular culture, detailing the relationship between a man with matinee-idol good looks and "the ugliest woman of the century." To complicate matters further, Park also includes a so-called "writer's cut" of the same story, offering alternate versions of the facts, giving the reader the opportunity to imagine all the different ways this same novel might have been written.
