Excerpt from Leaves From the Diary of Henry Greville A Wish having been expressed in several quarters that a short Memoir of my uncle should be appended to his Diary, I shall endeavour to comply with this request to the best of my ability, and add it to the new volume which I am about to offer to the public. Henry William Greville was the youngest son of Charles and Lady Charlotte Greville, and was born October 28, 1801, his only sister (my mother) being two years his junior. He was educated at Westminster and Oxford, but much of his childhood was spent on the Continent, chiefly at Brussels, where his family was residing at the time of the battle of Waterloo.
