This book is about prayers for an end to abortion. People of all faiths who believe in God can pray the prayers in this book. While praying in a Eucharistic perpetual adoration chapel in a Catholic church, Patricia witnessed a miracle there. She found the miracle was still there the following day when she returned and took pictures of this miracle. She spent time in prayer there and writing in her journal. Through inner locutions (messages) from God (while she was writing in the Eucharistic perpetual adoration chapel), God told her a new parable of a mustard seed. God asked her to write a prayer book of nine days of prayers for an end to abortions. God explained to her what the title of the book would be, how the cover of the book would appear, and how a professional portrait painter was to depict the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus to be standing in a field of mustard flowers. Patricia received many graces and witnessed many different miracles on her journey to bring this book to fruition. Patricia shared her manuscript with six Catholic priests from different Catholic churches, and a few of their comments were: Follow Jesus; Jesus is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; get this manuscript published; I like the new parable of the mustard seed; and getting this manuscript published, Patricia would be doing a great deed for Almighty God.

Glory be to God on high, and thanksgiving, and the voice of praise, who at one time by the mysteries of prophecy, at another by oracles from Heaven, again by the reading of the Gospel, and now by the mouth of preachers, in many ways and by divers channels, most sincerely urges and invites us to honor the Virgin Mary, the Queen of Heaven and of the Angels; that by her holy merits, most worthy of all acceptance, we, being delivered from the depths of hell, may be inscribed by her in the ranks of the angels. "Catholic literature in this country is not yet rich in works of a historical character; and though not a few have appeared evincing great research, and worthy of a high place, there was still wanting a popular element which genius alone could supply by lending its charm to the often dry details of the historian. The devotion to the Blessed Virgin in this country, from its settlement to the present day, was a theme which had been briefly touched upon by one or two writers. Still, it was a field which the late lamented author of the following pages entered with all the zeal and devotion of his arden[t] and impassioned character, and as a necessary consequence he gave his work the stamp of his particular genius. Few more gifted writers have appeared among us than Xavier Donald Macleod; and in undertaking his work, material was contributed by his numerous friends. The writer of this, one who had enjoyed that friendship from boyhood, rejoicing to see him about to take up a subject so worthy of his talents, furnished him an abundant material which he had collected, and feels now, perhaps too great a pleasure in his privilege in having contributed to so noble a work as that here presented to the Catholic public."--
